Michael is a professional writer and actor in the Los Angeles area. He is currently developing an animated series with writing partner Diona Reasonover at Wilmer Valderrama Entertainment. He is the writer for the College Humor series Um… Actually (streaming on Dropout) and most recently appeared in Ryan Murphy's Hollywood on Netflix. He has a background in theatre, music, and improv (and you might have seen him in a Geico commercial or two).

A Washington D.C. native, Michael performed for many years in the D.C. theatre scene and is a founding member and artistic associate of two Helen Hayes award winning theatre companies Flying V Theatre and The Pointless Theatre Co. He produced music (primarily hip-hop instrumentals) under the name DJ Awkward Silence with Phatal Records.

Michael has his B.A. in Theatre from the University of Maryland and has trained as an actor with UCB, Lesly Kahn, iO Chicago, Annoyance Theatre, Killian McHugh, Charlie Adler, Woolly Mammoth, and Studio Theatre (among others). He has studied creative writing at Vassar College and Script Anatomy in Los Angeles. He is also a proud graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.

He lives with his incredible wife, Kaitlin, and their absolutely perfect little girl, Sophie, both of whom are significantly cooler than him.
